Do you remember that you could change the encoding in Firefox 3 when the web developers failed to put the correct character encoding on the web page you are viewing? I know it is a common mistake among the web developers who create cyrillic web pages to mix cp1251 with utf8 or with koi8 encoding, the first and the last are 8-bit, and the utf8 encoding is with 16-bit character representation. The feature was located in the View section of the menu.
So you came upon such page with monkey characters using Firefox 4 and you cannot find the feature to change the charset? There's no View section. Here's how you can find the Character Encoding section. Press Firefox in the upper left corner, under it go to Web Developer, press it, under it got to Character Encoding, press it, then choose the correct encoding.
Are you happy now?

Nikolay
